Mira Showers’ electric shower, Mira Sport Max, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The Mira Sport Max is easy to use and features a stylish design, but is also a first for electric showers as it uses patented Mira Airboost™ technology to increase water flow by up to 30 per cent, without using any more water.
Mira’s patented technologies also feature in the Mira Sport Max, including: Opti-flo™ technology, optimising flow throughout the year without the need to switch to half power, no matter the weather; Clearscale™ technology, cutting limescale by up to 50 per cent for a better-performing, longer-lasting shower; and Sensi-flo™ technology, preventing scalding if the shower head or hose become blocked or the inlet pressure drops.
Craig Baker, Managing Director of Mira Showers, said: “As a forward-thinking company, we are committed to understanding and delivering what our customers want. Our dedication to developing exclusive technology is what has made Mira the biggest contributor to the showering industry in the last 90 years.
“Mira’s Research & Development team is always working collaboratively to look for ways to maximise the shower experience. Holding regular meetings with our Installer Clubs throughout the UK – as they are the voice of the user – and using this insight to shape the design of products allows us to bring new technology to life.”
This is the second occasion that Mira Showers has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, after the Mira Flight Safe anti-slip shower tray, which is manufactured in the company’s factory in Hull, scooped the award in 2017.
Emma Foster, Marketing Director at Mira Showers, said: “We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for the second time. This recognition highlights our commitment to innovation and the hard work and level of detail we put into the research and design stages, which allows us to ensure products we bring to market are meeting the ever-changing demands from both consumers and installers.”
