A family have become the first residents of a new housing development in Stotfold, marking the start of what is set to become an exciting new community in the town.
Venu Mathukumalli (37) and wife Lakshmi Prasanna Tumpati (35) chose to move to David Wilson Homes’ brand new Stotfold Park development to upsize from their previous property as they were in need of more space for their growing family.
The couple, who are originally from India, are now settling into their new four bedroom Winstone style home with children Krishna Karthik (5) and Aadhya (4).
As Lakshmi is a Medical Secretary, the family were able to benefit from the developer’s NHS 5% deposit contribution scheme, making their new home even more achievable.
Venu said: “It’s very exciting to be the first residents living at this brand new community. We were drawn to Stotfold Park from the beginning and it’s been fantastic to see how smooth and quick the moving process has been.
“Once we knew we wanted to upsize, we made a list of our top priorities and, once we had our hearts set on David Wilson Homes, we narrowed it down to two styles of properties.
“The Winstone suited our tastes the best and we knew it gave us room to grow as a family.
“The location of Stotfold Park appealed to us greatly as it acts as a central point for work and we are close to our family.”
Stotfold Park, located in Stotfold is comprised of just 78 homes and sits amongst beautiful open space and countryside. With a range of parks, rivers and dedicated country walks right on the doorstep, this development is perfect for those looking for a slice of the country.
Venu added: “We bought our first home with David Wilson’s sister company Barratt Homes and based on our fantastic experience we decided we only wanted to stick with these developers.
“The David Wilson Homes design really suited our lifestyle and because of their reputation we knew we were in safe hands. I would recommend the company to everyone as we had a really smooth moving process.”
Jason Hearn, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “Having the first residents move in marks a significant milestone in the progress of the development and we are thrilled to welcome the Venu and his family and celebrate what is sure to become a fantastic place to live.
“These savvy house hunters have been quick to recognise the potential of living at Stotfold Park and have ensured they didn’t miss out by buying as soon as the properties were released.
“We have a superb selection of homes available and the first occupants cover a wide range of property seekers from first time buyers, to expanding family and even downsizers. But with demand set to rise, we’re encouraging purchasers to act fast to avoid missing out.”
