Award-winning housebuilder Hayfield, recognised as one of the UK’s Best Small Housebuilder’s at the WhatHouse? 2018 Awards, has named Mark Gay as Planning Director, where he will head up the planning division at the company’s new Solihull headquarters.
Gay joined the business in March 2017 as Planning Manager and over the last 18 months has successfully steered six residential schemes through the complex planning process, cementing Hayfield’s prime position in the industry. Bringing a wealth of expertise and passion for creating beautiful spaces, Gay will continue to oversee planning across Hayfield’s developments, ensuring each displays the quality and difference for which the housebuilder has quickly become known.
Mark Booth, Managing Director at Hayfield, commented, “Mark has been an incredible asset to our team, guiding us with care and consideration through the often challenging planning processes at each of our sites. His creativity, technical expertise and personable approach have been instrumental in our success and we are delighted that he’ll be leading our planning team going forward.”
Mark Gay, Planning Director at Hayfield, added, “Having joined Hayfield in its very early days, it was quickly apparent it was doing things differently. Hayfield’s success has been underpinned by an exceptionally strong management team, with a clear vision to build ‘Communities’ that people aspire to live in, rather than churning out new homes as is so common in our industry. I am thrilled to have taken on this new role and am looking forward to an exciting year ahead.”
