Tiverton housebuilder Devonshire Homes has presented a cheque for £3,300 to Devon charity Hospiscare.
The company, who have pledged to continue to support the charity in the coming year, gifted £50 for every new open market home sold since March of this year.
Hospiscare Corporate Relationship Manager, Richard Cousins was delighted to accept the cheque and said: “Devonshire Homes’ support has been outstanding. Last year, the company raised the largest amount of money per member of staff of all our corporate supporters in 2015, and their donations are spent directly on caring for local patients who are living with a terminal illness.”
Devonshire Homes Managing Director, Steve Russell said: “We are pleased to be able to continue our support for such a good local cause. As well as the donations per house completion we are also helping carry out some building works and improvements at their Pine Lodge hospice in Tiverton and sponsoring the Breakfast Run at Knightshayes in September.”
Hospiscare provides free care and support for patients and their families living with terminal and life limiting illness and has centres in Mid Devon, East Devon and Exeter. It needs to raise £5million each year to care for the 2,000 patients who use its services.
