Bewley Homes is celebrating a million incident-free working hours across its building sites.
Developer Bewley Homes has reached the milestone of a million working hours without serious incidents across its construction sites. Health and Safety Manager Richard Abrahams and Commercial Director Simon Taphouse paid a visit to Ash Lodge Park in Ash, Surrey to celebrate the landmark occasion with Site Manager Bill Fisher.
Richard said: “I’ve been in construction for around 20 years and have never reached a million serious incident-free working hours with any other company. It’s a significant achievement, especially bearing in mind the high-risk industry that we operate within.
“It’s down to using familiar, competent contractors for many years; our site managers know them very well and they have become like a family. Our teams are diligent and think ahead; they don’t take unnecessary risks and they make sure they do things properly.”

He added: “We thank them for their hard work over the past 13 months. Our aim is now to work towards achieving two million working hours without a serious incident. That would be amazing.”
Founded in 1991, independent developer Bewley Homes has sites across Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey.
