Avant Homes has appointed two group directors to work alongside each other on land buying and potential trade acquisitions to further accelerate the company’s growth plans.
Operating in Scotland, north east England and the Midlands, Avant Homes announced earlier this year that it would double annual output to 4,000 homes and become a £1bn turnover business by 2023.
Lindsay Ramsden joins as Group Strategic Land Director from Redrow Homes where she was Head of Planning (strategic land), whilst Grant Westall-Reece has been appointed Group Director of Business Development having previously worked with the company as a consultant for the past two years.
The pair will form a team with Avant Homes’ Group Company Secretary and General Counsel, Jo Massey, as the housebuilder embarks on a “massive” land acquisition and expansion programme.
Commenting on her appointment, Lindsay said: “Avant Homes is without doubt the most exciting and ambitious housebuilder in the UK. The business and brand have grown with pace and power since inception. I’m looking forward to playing my part in the continued ascent of Avant Homes.”
Grant Westall-Reece previously acted as Head of Land for Avant Homes in Yorkshire before accepting an offer to join the group directorship. “I have worked in the property industry for almost 40 years and have never seen a developer make such a sustained positive impact within the markets it operates in,” he said.
Welcoming the pair to the business, Avant Homes Chief Executive, Colin Lewis, said: “Lindsay and Grant are both outstanding operators and, combined with the excellent Jo Massey, they make a formidable team.
“We are undertaking a massive land buying programme and considering trade acquisitions to deliver our plan of doubling output and revenue within five years. The triumvirate we have formed have the knowledge, capability and drive to make it happen. They will play an essential role in ensuring our upward trajectory and forward momentum is further enhanced and maintained.”
