Construction work has begun on a new active adult living community in Bromley Cross, near Bolton, being built by Jones Homes.
Jones Homes is building a range of two-bedroom apartments and two- and three-bedroom houses for the over-55s in the grounds of the Last Drop Village Hotel and Spa. The 35 homes will form a village-type community within a wider 98-home development being built on a 3.45 hectare site off Hospital Road.
Active adult living is a concept which has been developed by Jones Homes USA to provide age-exclusive developments which promote an active lifestyle to its residents. Jones Homes is now bringing the concept across the Atlantic, with Sanctuary at Last Drop Village being one of the housebuilder’s first active adult living developments in the UK.
Sanctuary at Last Drop Village will comprise a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced houses, bungalows and apartments.
Gemma Pownall, Sales Director for Jones Homes North West, said: “Sanctuary at Last Drop Village will provide a superb collection of houses and apartments for the over-55s in a sought-after location surrounded by the beautiful Lancashire countryside.
“The development will have a host of facilities onsite, offering an excellent level of customer service and support for residents, who will enjoy the very best in active adult living.”
Residents at the development, which is located in the North west part of the overall site, will benefit from many of the hotel’s leisure and spa facilities as well as a 24-hour careline.
Jones Homes has contributed a total of £510,562 to local services through a Section 106 planning agreement with Bolton Council.
