More than 4,000 houses built by Orbit Homes since 2013.
Orbit Homes, part of the 39,000-home Orbit Group, is reporting record year-end sales results, as well as building more than 4,000 homes since April 2013 – taking it one step closer to achieving its target of building 12,000 new homes by 2020.
Recently ranked the second largest developing housing association in the UK, Orbit Homes completed 223 market sales in 2015-16 – a 70 per cent increase on 2014-15. Its shared ownership team sold 332 homes, up 86 per cent on the previous year.
The developer completed the homes throughout the Midlands, East and South East, and reported a strong market for its wide range of products during the last year.
These results came in the same week that Orbit Homes completed building more than 4,000 homes since April 2013 – a major milestone that puts it on track to reach its target of 12,000 new homes by 2020. Of the 4,144 homes now complete, 467 were for market sale, 967 for shared ownership and 2,710 for affordable rent.
Paul High, executive director of property investment at Orbit, said: “We are seeing a growing land and development pipeline for our range of housing options, which is reflected in strong year results. With a sector-leading development programme, we are committed to providing customers with a flexible housing journey and providing homes to meet need and aspiration for all our customers.”
