Leading housebuilder Redrow has secured planning consent from Medway Council for 200 new homes at its latest development, Hamlet Park, Rainham. Located on Lower Rainham Road, approval for this 23-acre site is the housebuilder’s most recent milestone as it grows its presence in Kent. 

Of the 200 new homes, 150 will be available for private sale, with the remaining 25% being allocated as affordable homes, available through shared ownership or affordable rent. The homes will range in size from two- to five-bedrooms, all from Redrow’s award winning Heritage Collection, which combines the charm and architecture from the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with spacious and modern interiors.

In line with the semi-rural location, Hamlet Park will also be set in an attractive landscaped setting, with over three and a half acres of green space incorporated into the site, including a pond, a wildflower meadow and a formal square. 

Redrow is committed to creating sustainable communities and Hamlet Park will have EV charging points installed on site for residents to charge their electric vehicles and all houses will be heated via Air Source Heat Pumps. 

In line with its commitment to create thriving communities, Redrow is also investing over £2million in the local community, including plans to upgrade Rainham’s sustainable transport and healthy living centre; investing in the library; and increasing capacity and facilities of local schools alongside other initiatives.
