Sika Fastfix introduces sustainable packaging

Sika Fastfix All Weather jointing compound has been made available with a more sustainable packaging design, which is manufactured in part using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic.

Fastfix is one of the first Sika products with the new PCR packaging – recognisable thanks to its distinctive dark grey top. The manufacturer anticipates it will save around 400 tonnes of virgin plastic this year alone. It has said that the change to the packaging does not impact on the quality and performance users expect from Sika Fastfix, both in terms of storage and application.

Sika FastFix All Weather self-setting jointing compound provides a solution for pointing and comes ready to use with no mixing required. Once set it acts as a barrier to weed growth on paving, footpaths and patios, including cobbles and Indian sandstone paving slabs.

As its name suggests, Sika Fastfix All Weather can be applied in all weather conditions. It comes in a choice of five colours – Charcoal, Flint, Stone, Dark Buff and Deep Grey.
