HBF announces housebuilders rated ‘five-star’ in its annual customer satisfaction survey

 

The Home Builders Federation (HBF) has announced 21 housebuilders have received a top ‘five-star’ rating via its annual customer satisfaction survey.

The accolade means that over 90 per cent of a housebuilder’s buyers, who filled out the HBF’s National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey, would recommend the housebuilder to a friend.

Amongst the companies receiving five-star recognition are Bellway, William Davis Homes, McCarthy & Stone, who receive the award for a 14th Consecutive year, and Mactaggart & Mickel – who has now gained the accolade for seven straight years.

Joanne Casey, Managing Director at Mactaggart & Mickel’s Homes England division, said: “We know that buying a new home is a hugely important decision and we pride ourselves on making the entire process as smooth and as enjoyable as possible for our customers. We are immensely pleased to maintain our five-star rating, because it reflects what our customers think about us before, during and after their purchase.

“We strive to provide the highest standards of customer care, attention and quality and this award is a reflection of the commitment of all colleagues – everyone takes pride in delivering each and every home that we build.”

Daniel Williamson, Head of Sales for Bellway South London, said: “Retaining our five-star status is a matter of immense pride for us, as it shows that Bellway truly is a name you can trust.

“There is a huge demand for new homes which means that we are maintaining our high standards against a backdrop of unprecedented growth. Even though we are building more homes than ever, it is vital that we are proving ourselves to be a sure bet.”

For a 14th consecutive year, McCarthy and Stone has achieved a Five Star customer satisfaction. John Tonkiss, Chief Executive Officer for McCarthy and Stone, said: “Five-star service is an integral part of our culture and we are continually striving to improve, with an absolute commitment to delivering the very best products and services for our customers. We are therefore delighted to receive this Five Star award from the HBF for an unprecedented 14th year in a row.”

A full list of the companies which have been awarded a five-star status can be found here. The HBF star rating was introduced in 2005. For the last year almost 100,000 New Homes Customer Satisfaction Surveys were submitted.
