Design-led developer Bewley Homes is to create a collection of new homes in Send, near Woking in Surrey, after planning permission was granted on the site.
Cartbridge Gardens on Tannery Lane will be launched in the village next summer, comprising 75 homes of two, three and four bedrooms. The new development joins Bewley’s other Surrey sites, including Acacia Gardens in Farnham, Earl’s Grove in Reigate and Jubilee Meadows in Hersham. Elizabeth Park, the second phase of homes at Jubilee Meadows, is due to launch at the end of January.
Bewley Homes’ Managing Director Andrew Brooks said: “Securing planning approval for the land in Send is fantastic news, both for us as a company and for those who will now be able to settle in the village.
“We were very keen to create homes in Send due to its excellent range of nearby amenities and its superb transport links. We’re sure that the combination of these local features and our contemporary homes will offer a wonderful quality of life for residents at Cartbridge Gardens.”
The development has been named after the village’s Cart Bridge, which dates back to the 18th century and which was reconstructed in the late 1990s. Cartbridge Gardens is a ten-minute drive from Woking Station, from where journeys to London Waterloo take less than half an hour.
