Bellway launches graduate recruitment drive

Bellway has launched its national graduate scheme for 2022, offering an array of skilled job opportunities for university leavers across the UK.

The national housebuilder, which has its headquarters in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, is seeking to take on 41 graduates across England, Scotland and Wales through its dedicated training programme.

Bellway, which has 22 divisions around the UK, wants to hire graduates to cover all aspects of the business in the recruitment programme called ‘Great careers built with us’, which launched this month (January).

The developer is looking for graduates with a 2.2 degree or above to apply for the two-year scheme which can lead to a full-time position with the company.

Heidi Khoshtaghaza, Bellway Group Human Resources Director, said: “This is a very exciting launch for us and gives people with potential the opportunity to come to work, learn and grow with Bellway – a FTSE 250 company and a national housebuilder with five-star status.

“We are looking for the brightest and sharpest minds to join us in 2022 as we seek to grow the business. Graduates do not necessarily need to have any experience in the housebuilding industry, but they must prove to us that they deserve a chance to forge a great career with a dynamic company.

One of Bellway’s graduate success stories is Ashleigh Wright, who has recently been promoted to land buyer after joining the company in January 2020 through the graduate scheme.

Ashleigh, 25, said: “I researched Bellway and the job and liked what I saw. I particularly liked the fact that they were not asking for any previous experience and that I would learn on the job.

“From day one, everyone at Bellway has been incredibly supportive and encouraging. Their support has enabled me to secure a full-time position in a new career that I love.”
