Bedfordshire housebuilder receives near-perfect score on customer surveys

Staff at a new housing development in Wixams are celebrating a double success – not only has their site manager won a top industry award, but they have also received the highest levels of customer feedback.

Of the Home Builders Federation (HBF) surveys sent to new residents at Bellway’s Brook View development this year, 90 per cent of respondents gave a top score of 10 out of 10 for customer satisfaction.

All members of the site and sales teams were praised in the survey responses, especially assistant site manager Ryan Bates, whose knowledge, reliability, and friendliness were noted by residents, as well as the fact that they trusted he would be there if they needed anything.

Ryan said: “I’ve been with Bellway for three and a half years now and been at Brook View since construction started 18 months ago and it’s really great to be recognised for the hard work you put in with this near-perfect score. Customer relations are really important, and attention to detail is essential.

“We try and make sure everyone is happy and my mindset is that if I wouldn’t have something wrong in my house, I won’t let anyone else have it. I’m a bit of a perfectionist really.

“The team works really well together, and all of our strengths mean that we provide the best possible service to our customers. We all have an eye for details and want to end up with the best product for our buyers.

“We meticulously cover every base humanly possible, then hopefully we give the customers a house that’s perfect.”

Brook View is a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes located off Ampthill Road in Wixams.

Site manager Sean Howard – who recently won a Quality Award from the National House Building Council for his work at the development – said: “All this positive feedback goes to show we are doing everything we can to build a great house. If people weren’t happy, they wouldn’t give positive reviews.

“Ryan is very hands on when it comes to customer care and if there is any problem the whole team will do their best to sort it straight away.

“As a site we don’t accept when something isn’t right, and we will put it right as soon as we are able to. We ensure that everyone is keeping to the same high standard. You have to set high expectations and not accept any sub-standard craftsmanship.”

Luke Southgate, Sales Director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “We are really proud of the whole team at Brook View. This recognition from the customers themselves shows that everyone is continually striving to provide the best service to our residents.

“Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases people will ever make, so we want to make sure we are making the process as smooth and stress free as possible.”

There’s currently a choice of two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Brook View, with prices starting from £227,500.
