Redsky Homes granted permission to build much needed new homes in High Wycombe

Redsky Homes Group, a successful developer of new homes in the Greater London area, is delighted to announce that the Planning Inspectorate have granted permission for the company to develop the 18 high quality new apartments proposed for construction on Kingsmead Road in High Wycombe.

The £5m scheme had originally been granted planning permission for 14 new homes. However, Redsky Homes Group identified that by employing clever architectural design they could create a further 4 comfortable apartments within the scheme. Although the planning amendment was initially rejected by Wycombe District Council, on appeal the Planning Inspectorate granted permission on the basis that the development met all the requirements of the newly adopted Wycombe District Local Plan (August 2019).

The development, on Kingsmead Road, comprises 18 new apartments built over 4 floors served by an elevator as well as staircases. The mix of one and two bedroomed apartments will benefit from underground car parking, landscaped communal gardens and a high-quality interior and exterior finish. The apartments are due to be completed in January 2021 and the first homes will be released for sale around November 2020. Prices will start from around £230,000 for a 1 bedroomed home.

Tejinder Sekhon, Founder and Director of Redsky Homes Group, commented: “We are delighted to have won this planning appeal and can now carry on with providing these much-needed new homes in High Wycombe. There is a significant demand for apartments in the area suitable for first time buyers, couples and young families and these attractive and well-designed new homes will complement the surroundings and offer great road links and easy access to the local amenities such as shops and the rugby ground. I look forward to releasing them for sale later this year.”
