Sempra Homes | Pound Lane Central, Laindon, Basildon

Sempra Homes has handed over a site in Pound Lane Central to its build contractor, Jerram Falkus, which will be building seven one and two-bed apartments and two, two-bed houses.

As part of its shared ownership new homes delivery programme, Sempra is working in partnership with Homes England and is supporting Basildon Council with its ambition to give priority to the borough’s key workers to access housing.

William Jerram, Managing Director of Jerram Falkus said: “We are delighted to be starting work on site at the Pound Lane Central development. This will be our first construction project for Sempra Homes and Basildon Council and we look forward to establishing a good working relationship, delivering new quality homes in the borough”. Mallard Homes | Eureka Lodge Gardens

Mallard Homes is delivering 13 new bungalows  in a multi-million pound scheme in Swadlincote. The company reports that building work remains on schedule and the homes that spearhead the first phase of the development should be ready by Spring.

“In the mid-1980s, as many as 26,000 new bungalows were being built every year,” said Paul Heap, Founder and Managing Director of Mallard Homes.

“When we started exploring options for this site back in 2017, this figure had fallen to just 2,600 – but we felt there was untapped demand out there, especially in South Derbyshire, and designed a scheme to meet this gap in the market.” Find out more…


PH Homes | Alderley Park, Cheshire

PH Homes has secured its fourth site at Alderley Park, Cheshire. The development will form the latest in the company’s Alderley Park portfolio with its current sites The Serpentine, Cedar Square and The Ride nearing completion.

This latest phase is the site of the Estate’s original Alderley House and enjoys a prominent position with commanding views over the 400acre estate. Planning is due to be submitted in March with construction work expected to start Autumn 2019. Find out more…


Kier Living Eastern | Stortford Fields, Bishop’s Stortford

A ‘Palmerstone’ show home has been launched at Kier Living Eastern’s Stortford Fields development in Bishop’s Stortford.

Kevin Bearne, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Kier Living Eastern, said: “The show home launch was a big success, for a number of reasons. We had a lot of visitors and managed to secure two sales for a Palmerston – a couple who secured one told us it was just what they were after. Ashberry Homes | Victoria Gardens, Peters Village, Kent

Ashberry Homes’ development Victoria Gardens has launched in Peters Village, Kent. The development features a selection of two-bedroom apartments and two-, three- and four-bedroom homes designed to attract first-time buyers, families and downsizers. Victoria Gardens has the benefit of having wildlife on the door step, with an on- site nature reserve which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The attractive brick-built homes incorporate features such as integrated kitchen appliances, open-plan living spaces and en-suite bathrooms.

Avant Homes | Carnethy Heights, Penicuik

Work is underway by Avant Homes to bring a £56m development of new homes to Penicuik. The housebuilder has been granted planning permission by Midlothian council to build 165 homes in the north of the town. The development, called Carnethy Heights, forms part of a wider scheme which will see a total of 544 new homes built in a joint development programme with CALA Homes.

Avant Homes will deliver a mix of three, four and five-bedroom semi-detached and detached properties, all including the housebuilder’s superior interior specification. Initial infrastructure and groundworks are progressing and the first homes are expected to be ready for occupation in July 2019.
