Crossfield Group | Alexandra Drive, Liverpool
A development of 73 new homes by Liverpool-based construction company, Crossfield Group, has been given the go-ahead in Aigburth, Liverpool.  The successful planning application will see the transformation of the site of the former Liverpool Theatre School on Aigburth Road – which includes a disused building and parking area on Alexandra Drive – with two new apartment buildings. An existing villa on the site will also be refurbished as part of the scheme to create one- and two-bedroom homes.

The £9 million project will comprise 59 affordable homes available through the rent to buy scheme or shared ownership, and a further 14 luxury apartments which will become available for sale on the open housing market.

St. Modwen Homes has launched a second phase at its Hilton Valley development in Derbyshire, where 157 new homes will be constructed. The second phase of homes at Hilton Valley will comprise of 157 three and four-bedroom properties.

Among the new four-bedroom properties is the Paris, a contemporary three-storey home, the Hannington, which features a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances and the Becket, a home split across three floors.

Developer Kier Living Eastern has released a set of revamped show homes at its Meadow Croft development in Houghton Conquest. Meadow Croft is a new collection of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes located in a village near Bedford. Three new show homes have undergone major design changes to keep up with the latest trends.

The Charlton is a two-bedroom home benefitting from an open-plan living/dining room and separate kitchen, with an en-suite master bedroom and a second further bedroom. The Hopwood is a three-bedroom home featuring a front aspect lounge and dual aspect kitchen/breakfast area to the ground floor. To the first floor is an en-suite master bedroom and two further bedrooms. Catalyst HomesCatalyst Homes | Wolvercote Paper Mill, Oxford
Catalyst Homes has released from plan its new collection of Shared Ownership homes at the former Wolvercote Paper Mill in Oxford. The site, which was used as a mill for about four centuries but ceased paper production in 1997, is being transformed into a brand new community by Cala Homes.

Catalyst will be creating 19, one, two and three bedroom apartments and three bedroom houses. Gareth Gow, Area Sales Manager for Catalyst Homes commented: “Oxford is an extremely desirable place to live and Wolvercote provides the best of both worlds, with its stunning village location but right on the edge of the historic city of Oxford. Solihull-headquartered Hayfield has entered the Cambridgeshire new homes market, by securing a 4.4acre development site in the village of Great Gransden. The site was purchased from Catesby Estates plc with an ‘outline’ consent in place. Hayfield has worked with Architect and Planning Consultant Woods Hardwick to submit a detailed application to Huntingdonshire District Council for 40 new homes. 16 plots have been designated for affordable housing.

Mark Gay, Planning Director of Hayfield said: “Our Great Gransden site is a prime residential opportunity in a beautiful sought-after village which has seen very little new development. Priestley Construction | Green Lane Mill, Huddersfield
Leeds-based specialist contractor, Priestley Construction, has commenced the £800,000 restoration of Green Lane Mill in Holmfirth into 11 two-bedroom apartments. Priestley Construction was awarded the contract to carry out a six-month construction programme on behalf of the developer, Green Lane Mill Developments Ltd.

The project will see the contractor transform the 19th century mill building into a high-specification residential development for local owner-occupiers. Work is expected to be completed early Q2 2020. Green Lane Mill is situated approximately one mile from Holmfirth town centre and seven miles from Huddersfield. Find out more…
