Karndean unveils new flooring collection for housebuilders

Karndean Designflooring has introduced a new ‘Style and Contemporary’ collection for UK housebuilders.

Specialist luxury vinyl flooring manufacturer Karndean Designflooring is enhancing its offering to the UK house build market with the introduction of its new Style and Contemporary collection.

Available from April 2017, Style and Contemporary presents “a dedicated collection of modern, authentic and versatile wood and stone designs, each hand selected for the UK house build sector by in-house product designers from more than 250 established Karndean designs.”

There are ten wood and six stone designs in each collection. Style features the company’s Knight Tile and Opus, whilst Contemporary includes popular colourways from Van Gogh Wood and Da Vinci Wood and Stone.

Style ranges from the distressed White Painted Oak and light grey Mico, to the rich chocolate hues of Aged Oak and smoky charcoal Cumbrian Stone. The company believes it will be popular with new build homeowners looking for a modern design. It is available in a 36” x 6” standard plank and 12” x 18” tile option, and larger 48” x 9” plank or 18” x 24” tile.

“Having experienced on-going growth in the house build sector, we recognised the opportunity to create two dedicated collections designed to accommodate the requirements of new build homeowners looking to add style and value at the point of purchase,” explains Matthew Speck, commercial sales director of Karndean Designflooring.

He said: “Whereas new build homeowners look for transitional design when it comes to clean wallcoverings and contemporary fittings, they’re increasingly looking to the floor to add a personal touch to match their individual style.

“By working closely with our regional and national housebuilders alike, we’ve created Style and Contemporary with a wide palette of colourways and formats to match a variety of styles, but in a simplified collection.

“With more new home buyers than ever looking for luxury vinyl flooring in key areas of the home such as a bathroom, living space or kitchen, housebuilders are looking to meet demand with our practical and authentic wood and stone effect designs.”
