Work underway for 147 North Berwick homes

CALA Homes’ has started construction work at a new housing project in North Berwick.

The development at Mains Farm is now underway after it received full backing from East Lothian Council following a proposal in line with its vision for much needed new homes in the area.

The new CALA development will bring a wide mix of properties, including much-needed, smaller homes to the area, suitable for young professionals and families, to help encourage more economically active people into the town.

David McGrath Managing Director at CALA Homes (East) said: “We are delighted to have been given the go ahead for this development, allowing us to continue our presence in North Berwick and to provide much needed homes as part of a wider residential led development.

“It is clear that there is real demand for a wide range of family homes – and this is strongly reflected in this development.”

The Mains Farm development will consist of 147 three, four and five bedroom homes, the majority of which are three bedroom properties. The development will continue CALA Homes’ long association with North Berwick, following on from successful nearby developments at Gilsland Grange and the current Priory Meadow site.
