New homes report to be launched by Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland is returning to Ecobuild 2017  as sponsor of the City Hall seminar theatre and to launch its UK Homes, Health & Wellbeing Report.

Headline findings from the Feel Good: Live Well, The UK Home, Health and Wellbeing Report, show that 90% of homeowners and renters want a home that doesn’t compromise their health and wellbeing, while almost 30% would be prepared to pay more for a home that doesn’t compromise their health and wellbeing. As part of the launch, Saint-Gobain will be hosting a roundtable at Ecobuild, including participation from Redrow, Barratt, Kier Living and NHBC, to discuss the report’s key findings. John Alker, Campaign and Policy Director at UKGBC will be chairing the roundtable.

Mike Chaldecott, General Delegate and Regional Managing Director for Construction Products at Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland, commented: “Ecobuild is an important event in our calendar, as it’s a place for the industry to come together to discuss key issues and showcase innovation. In particular, our sponsorship of the City Hall sustainability seminar stream is an opportunity to bring important sustainability topics to the forefront and create a dialogue with industry experts.”

At Ecobuild, the City Hall seminar theatre will host a series of seminars, debates and practical sessions on sustainability. Saint-Gobain, as main sponsor, will be participating in sessions focusing on carbon emissions in the built environment, skills, training and products for retrofit and refurbishment, and the benefits of green homes.
