Hewden acquires 30 new Genie Telehandlers

National equipment and crane hire firm Hewden has taken receipt of 30 new Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandlers.

Available for hire nationwide, each machine is equipped with the latest Trackunit Track & Trace device, a fleet management system that provides advanced telemetry such as; hour-meter reporting, location tracking and machine utilisation rates. It also provides substantial security benefits such as geo-fencing, motion alarms and remote machine disabling.

Providing a lifting height of up to 5.79 m (19 ft), a lifting capacity of 2.500 kg (5.511 lbs) and 2.000 kg (4.409 lbs) at maximum height, the Genie GTH-2506 compact telehandler combines exceptional capabilities with one of the smallest machine dimensions on the market.

“We chose the GTH-2506 telehandler for its simplicity of operation and robust, compact design which is ideal for work on sites where space is tight,” says Danny Williams, Product Manager – Access, Hewden.

“Another important factor was the advanced telematics that come with the machines. Plant and attachment theft remains a major issue in the industry, so with these new telehandlers fitted with the latest telematics and tracking devices, we’re tackling the issue and reducing the risk of downtime for our customers,” added Danny.
