Hill and Hyde Housing to create 287 homes in London

A £150m development marks first partnership between Hill and Hyde Housing.

Hill, the award-winning top 15 UK housebuilder, has announced the launch of a new joint venture with The Hyde Group, one of the largest Housing Associations’ in London and the South East, with over 50,000 properties.

Hill will develop three parcels of land on the Stonebridge Estate to build 287 homes. Planning permission was given to the first site earlier this year and the other two were granted this month. The gross development value is to exceed £150 million.

Andy Hill, Chief Executive at Hill, comments: “The multi-million pound redevelopment of the Stonebridge Estate has been adapted and improved to create a sustainable, vibrant and truly multicultural community – something we can all be proud of. While our development marks the final phase of this regeneration, it is just the beginning of our new relationship with Hyde. I’m confident that this is the start of a very successful partnership and that together we will deliver the multitude of new homes which are desperately needed across a number of other London Boroughs.”

David Gannicott, Group Director of Business Development from Hyde, said: “We are delighted to be working with Hill to develop and deliver homes for those most in need. Our core purpose is to help create sustainable communities for people to live in, and for the homes to stand the test of time. The joint venture with Hill allows this to happen.”

The disused brownfield land, located off Winchelsea Road in Harlesden, will be redeveloped to deliver the new homes, including maisonettes, apartments and wheelchair accessible properties. All the homes will have access to private courtyards along with excellent transport links – Harlesden Rail and Underground Station is just a short walk away.
